Hello, earthlings. Sorry about the delay! I'm back to share with you all about what happened on the day my first cousin got married like almost two weeks ago? Time really flies so fast!
Well, it's okay if you think this post is not that interesting. Some people out there has been telling me to post about this. So, here I am now posting! Before I move on, I can't really remember everything that happened on those days. I'll just type down whatever I remember, alright?
On Friday, I was so busy with many different things. I went to the bride's house to help them out. Did what? I cleaned the toilets. At first, I thought I was supposed to clean one, in the end, I had to clean both toilets. Yes, I was alone. I did all the cleaning. It's okay, I'm used to it. Since small, I'm always assigned to clean the toilets over there. Hardworking, right?
When I was half way done, my best little cousin came and helped me out.
After that, we took a break. I decided to go to the shop to get myself a drink of cold peach tea. I asked my grandmother for cash and she gave me $10. I was at the lift lobby when I saw a $10 note on the floor. Feeling happy and lucky, I wanted to pick it up when I realized that the note was torn into half. I took out my note and I got to know that another half belonged to me! I went back inside and used tape to mend it.
It was almost dusk when I wanted to go home because I knew that my mother needed my help. She spent hours and hours preparing the wedding gifts, dowries, glutinous rice, cupcakes and chocolate cake. She did almost everything by herself. I only helped a little bit. Just a little bit. I still came home to help her out, okay. I learnt how to decorate the chocolate cake. It was fun! I have the picture, but I won't show it to you guys now. Someday, maybe. It looks quite horrible.
After helping her out, I decided to go back to my aunt's place to help them with whatever I could. My father sent me there despite feeling very sick. My cousin and I helped to put henna on the bride's toes and fingers while my uncle drew henna on her hand. I stayed over very late. I had fun talking to her friends and my two little cousins. I didn't bathe since morning on that particular day. God knows how sticky my body was. I didn't have the time, actually. I thought of staying over on that night. I didn't bring any clothes because I thought I could be independent and go home during dawn. In the end, I decided to go home because I was worried about my father who was ill and my mother, who was working all alone. The bride's friend, who has been watching me growing, decided to send me home. It was very early in the morning and she was thoughtful enough to ask me to call her up once I reached the doorstep. See how responsible she is? I went home, helped my mother out, took a nice cold shower and hit the sack!
Okay, I can't remember what I did on the next day, which is on the Saturday. Oh yes! Firstly, I went to my cousins' house which is across the road. We took a cab there. Suddenly, I feel lazy to elaborate. We got busy at the void deck to prepare things and we then went up to wait for the groom side's arrival. Then, the solemnization began. Praise to God, everything went smoothly. I still couldn't believe that my cousin is finally married. I felt quite sad at that moment because I felt that I was going to lose her but more of happiness because she finally got married to the guy whom I recognize since I was a little girl! Let's skip some parts. During dusk, I went back home to change before going back there. My father was really sick at that time and I was so worried. I kept telling myself that things would be fine and stop worrying about things. On that night also, my father went to seek the doctor. Then, I went to my cousins' house first because I was going together with them. Since I was so starving, I had a plate of delicious bone steak once I arrived the bride's place. Stayed over there for a little while, did henna on my hand, killed some time and we went back home after midnight. Since it was late at night, I decided to stay over at their place.
Early in the morning, I was waken up by my aunt. I needed to rush home because I didn't iron my clothes before I went off. The good thing is, their house is just across the road. When I came home, to my surprise, the house was empty. I thought that my parents went out for breakfast. I called my mother and I got to know that both of them were at the hospital. My beloved father experienced an asthma attack on that morning and he got warded. He didn't get to see his niece's wedding. On that Sunday, it was the most tiring day ever. I did a lot of things and I don't think it's necessary for me to mention. Guess what's the most amazing thing I ever did during a wedding ceremony? I slept on the bride and groom's table! The couple already left before that. I was having jet lag. I was extremely exhausted! Then, I went to meet someone special first before I went to the hospital to meet my father. Okay, shall not elaborate. I'm tired!
Anyway, there are more pictures. I've uploaded some of them at my Multiply. I'll keep you guys updated. Okay, I want to call off the day. I'm freaking restless.
